Fishing Report 11.1.10

Water temps are in the low 60s. When winds allowed fishing open waters, trolling for stripers along and north of Windmill Bar and on irregular inshore bottoms with bucktails and shad type baits was hit or miss this weekend. They did bite at the edge of dark and were best caught on live or cut bait or Gulp baits on structure. Fish were available in the Rappahannock around Towles Point. When temperatures drop to the mid-50s schooling should begin in earnest.

Gray Trout continue to be caught off Gwynn Island and in the mouth of the Rappahannock.

The speckled trout bite slowed in the Piankatank and the bite in the lower Mobjack continued but no citations registered this week.

Tight Lines,
Jerry
