It is here. Last year, we had 117 boats fish it. No idea how many will fish it this year, could be more or less. 1st place is $5000 if only 1 boat fishes it. The highest single payout was 2 years ago when Craig Paige won $11,000. Weather forecasts look like we will get the tournament in on Saturday but we may get wet sometime during Friday/Saturday. We have prepared for more boats. We are getting more scallops, more fish and have made up about 160 team buckets. We have more liquor but we did not put the little sample bottles in the team buckets. ABC did not like kids walking around with the buckets with liquor in them last year. We will just give them out to adults at one of the tables somewhere…maybe just have them in the gazebo where the mixed drinks are served during the weigh-in party. It will be barbecue and beer at the captains Friday evening. The work of many volunteers and tremendous sponsor support make this event happen.
