I turned 60 this week. I decided this was time to add another fishing day to my work week. Tuesday, Stan wanted to catch a citation-size sheepshead. So, we got him his citation. The only sheep we caught. Pretty much every morning, I was met by houndfish and the sunrise. Today, after my morning houndfish, I fished for cobia.
I started with two on at once which is a trick when you are fishing by yourself. Somehow, I managed to land both. I ended up catching 5 cobia before coming in for lunch. I kept my one and released the rest. Of course, I lost the biggest one I had hooked up. The bad thing fishing solo, is that it does me no good to blame the captain, angler, or net man.
