Cobia Today

Chummed off of Back River this morning and came in before the storms started up. Caught 3 cobia up to 50 inches long and had the hook pull on a larger fish. The fish was on the surface and I watched the hook come out with the eel still on it. I was not happy. I just dropped the eel back down beside the chum bucket while I got everything straight. Immediately, it got eaten again. I got that one, happy again. Mostly, I caught sharks plus a southern stingray and a turtle. Releasing the turtle was more nerve racking than releasing the sharks and the stingray.
