Fishing Report 9.20.10

Spot are being caught in Butlers Hole, at the Spike and in 25-28′ deep waters off Gwynn Island.

Croaker are still available in the creeks with some lartger specimens coming from shallow waters in the evening.

Puppy drum are being caught over hard bottom in the shallows.

Pan sized Gray Trout have made showings in good sized schools off Gwynn Island. The schools look like a trash pile on your fish finder. These fish are limited to one keeper per person (12″ or larger) but can be enjoyed catch and release by jigging Sting Silvers or bucktail jigs tipped with pink or electric chicked soft plastics or gulp baits.

The Piankatank produced a few specks from around the oyster reefs this week.

Small striper are showing around structure. Perhaps we will have a good striper season.
