Today, I went trout fishing with <\/span>Stan Simmerman<\/span><\/span>. We were going to fish where he had caught multiple 20-plus inch fish the day before, including 3 citation-sized fish. We got there early. I caught a needlefish on topwater. It bit me. That was it. Other than the blood dripping from my pinky, there was nothing going on. I’m thinking that Stan is being sneaky. This was not where they caught all of those big trout… Then it turned rather epic. We caught “only” one citation-sized speck and one other over 20 inches but we were on a nice class of fish. We ended up catching 23 speckled trout with the average fish being between 18 and 19.5 inch long. We also caught a couple of gray trout, a puffer fish…and that needlefish. <\/span><\/p>\n
